Mrs. J. O. Pitt, formerly Miss Ella Smyth died at her home in Tremonton, Utah, on Sat. last. Mrs Pitt was the daughter of Capt Edward Smyth, a former resident of this city and resided here during her childhood. During the past five or six years she was a teacher in the public schools of Iron Mountain and immediately previous to that occupied a similar position at Loretto. She left Iron Mountain for Tremonton early in June last where she was united in marriage to Dr J O Pitt, of that place. The remains were brought to Iron Mountain We. and were taken to the home of Mr and Mrs John Obermeyer, interment taking place Thursday. Norway Current Sat 11 Mar 1905.
