died July 31, 1991 before midnight at Harborview Hospital, Seattle,
King Co., WA, of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident on
Friday, July 28, 1991 in Seattle. She was 80 years old. Gudrun was the
widow of Asbjorn Brandso who died in 1978 (they had no children).
Gudrun was buried August 5, 1991, beside her husband Asbjorn Brandso
at Pacific Lutheran Cemetery, Seattle, Washington. Gudrun (Ludvigsen)
Brandso, a daughter of Theodor Ludvigsen Jaattun and Giske Sevrina
Knutsdtr. Dale, was born June 15, 1911 in Jaattaa, Hetland Rogaland,
Norway. She emigrated May 23, 1947 from Norway to New York City; from
New York City she went to Seattle, King Co., WA, after pausing June 7,
1947 in Duluth, Minnesota to visit relatives and attend the wedding of
her cousin Roy Arthur Dahl to Molly Woei. Gudrun was naturalized as a
U.S. citizen on May 22, 1950 in Seattle, Washington. Gudrun Ludvigsen
and Asbjorn Brandso married May 15, 1948 in Denny Park Lutheran
Church, Seattle, Washington. She was an artist in both water-colors
