Passed away Friday morning at the Saginaw County Infirmary Hospital after a lingering illness. Age 72 years. He was born June 10, 1888 (should be 1885) in Tuscola County (should be Sanilac Co.) and had resided in Saginaw the past 60 years. In 1918 he married Sarah Ross. She passed away Oct. 1946. He was a machine operator prior to his retirement. Surviving are one daughter and two sons, Mrs. William Leidich, Saginaw; Ernest McCartney, San Fernando, Calif., 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place at 2PM Monday at the Gugel Funeral Home. Rev. S. N. Wallace will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 6PM Saturday.
