He was apparantely taken care of be priests from a locate Catholic church. Russell served in the US Army during World War Two being stationed in France. He co-habitated with a woman named Sharon (she apparently used the name McCartney) while in Philadelphia and had two sons by her. They were born about 1956-1958. Their whereabouts and names are unknown. Apparently Social Security benefits were made to her in Billings, Montana. Russell was cremated (Cratin & Ferris Crematory, West Chester, PA) and buried in the Columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery (13 April 1982).
