Note: N28 The following, written by Claire Attaway, considered Daniel Walker to be the father of Edwin Walker; this is disputed by Fleetwood Albrecht. Therefore whether the following describes a Daniel who is not related, or whether it describes Nathaniel (as the father of Edwin) is not certain. "Daniel came over from Glascow Scotland, in 1812 or 1814 to Carolina Low Country to build rice mills. House (no longer standing) was up on the highest hill to the north, overlooking beautiful lake." Nathaniel, whom F.A. says is the best choice for the father of Edwin, is buried in Berkeley County, SC, on a plantation (The Bluff) owned by Nathaniel Heyward ("rich in SC history") who apparently adopted him & gave him his first name.
