Text: State of Illinois, County of Vermilion, In the matter of Pension claim of Minor Heir of James McGlothlin, D", 10", Ind, Vol. Personal came before me a Clerk of Court in and for aforesaid County and State James P. Green, aged 50 years, a citizen of the Town of Danville, County of Vermilion, State of Illinois, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in realation to aforesaid case as Follows: I was well acquainted with the soldier above named and was also aquainted with his wife Mary A. and know that neither of them had been previously married, and I know from my own personal knowledge from being present and attending their funerals that the said soldier died, September 11, 1879 and his wife the said Mary A. died, September 17, 1879, that said soldier left him surviving the following named children under 16 years of age and none other was, Eva, Frederick and Phebe, George. The said Phebe being the only hicld of said soldier who was under the age of 16 years on the 27th day of June 1890, said George died about two weeks after his Mother's death, died as a child.
