Note: Date of the marriage of John and Jessie was taken from birth record of daughter Catherine, who was born in 1892, however it is off by one day. The actual marriage record shows John McGuire and Jessie Aitken married on 7 Apr 1891. John was 23 and a cattle drover, Jessie was 20 and a tobacco spinner. There is a death record showing they also had a daughter Jessie Aitken Maguire who died in 1899 at the age of 2 months of bronchitis. Jessie died 3 Nov 1901 of kidney failure.
In 1911 her children Catherine and Hector are living with an aunt and uncle; see Catherine's entry. Unable to locate the father John McGuire/Maguire or the sons John or Phillip in the 1911 census. John Sr may still be in Lanarkshire since I did not check all the entries on ScotlandPeople.gov.uk.
