Note: PERSONAL DATA: Mother was a very good cook and always had something prepared to feed, any, everyone who might drop in at our home, even unexpectedly. She was a tall slim woman and her hair never had any gray in it, even at death, other than one tiny little strand. She had a great Widow's Peak and as she grew older her hair became darker. She was a cotton-topped blonde in childhood until about the time of her marriage. She never worked outside of her home except briefly before marriage. I was the only child and she never had any miscarriages. She loved her grandchildren as much as any grandmother could possibly do, and kept the children very often, babysitting anytime I needed her too. While I was off a college at University of Tulsa, she kept Kelli in Poteau for me. Mother was a seamstress and made alot of my clothing when I was young and sewed or did needlework alot. Her sisters called her "Maydie" and she never went by her first name of MARTHA.
