a. Note:   Information taken from badley damaged Military Passport of Andreas Majni whose trade was as a Bricklayer. Born in the city of Kassa, Hungary(Kosice, Slovakia) on Jan. 7, 1882 , in the county Abauj Torna.
 Inducted into the Hungarian Army on Dec. 20, 1899 possibly as a volunteer. He served 3 years on the line, 7 years in the Reserves (Dec. 31,1902), and 2 years in the National Guard (Dec. 31, 1909). His lottery number was 534. There was no record of medals or decorations. He served in the Imperial and Royal Infantry Regiment #34, 1st reserve Company. He left the army with the rank of Corporal and registered in the Control List at Kassa on Oct. 15,1903. He reported for permanent domicile on )ct. 10,1904 at the Office of Captain, Military Registrar.
