Note: !Burlington Daily Hawkeye dated May 7, 1859 The person killed by lightning on Tuesday last was named Basher, living on the Agency Road near Middletown. He had been to mill, and was returning in his wagon near dark, when killed. When found by his friends the body was still in the wagon, horeses not injured.
