a. Note:   1842, very likely the son died previously. For later years they would be found in Diekirch which doubled in size while they were living there. The census in Luxembourg was taken on an average of every three years, is browse only, and has between 300+ and 600+ images per year for Diekirch. I have a bit of a problem with Jean and his wife who is seen as Eve from the time of the second child's birth until she dies. I am hoping that the years the date of birth was included on the census may prove "Eve" is the same lady as Margaretha who married Jean in 1839. Unfortunately the 1843 census is the first with a date of birth. It is a match for the daughter but not for Jean or "Eve."
