Re: Tazewell Co VA/Russell Co VA McGraw Family Posted by: Michael L. McGraw (ID *****1657) Date: August 03, 2011 at 05:04:48 In Reply to: Tazewell Co VA/Russell Co VA McGraw Family by Harriet E. Rasnick of 1646 Hi Hariette: John McGraw (1776-1861) and Sarah Anderson (1762-1805) had Thomas who married Catherine Lewis. They also had my third great grandfather James McGraw. The is some interesting reading in the Russell County Chancery cases. I have read a couple where two of Thomas' sons testified. It is slow reading because back then all of the depostions were hand written. Go to: http://www.lva.virginia.gov/chancery/case_detail.asp?CFN=167-1892-051 and also see: http://www.lva.virginia.gov/chancery/case_detail.asp?CFN=167-1894-027 I am very interest in any pictures that you may have of my McGraw ancestors. I can be contacted at MichaelLMcGraw@GMail.com Hope to hear from you........Michael L. McGraw
Note:   Year of birth estimated from tax list. He was first seen on the 1797
