He was a native of Dixie, lived most of his life in Kanawha County, was a retired field foreman for Cabot Gas Co. with 35 years' service and a Protestant. Surviving: wife, Emma Claywell Auxier; sons, Willie of Virginia Beach, Va., James of Oak Hill; daughters, Lenora Renzulli of South Norwalk, Conn., Linda Dorsey of Summersville, Barbara Hollon of Marbury, Ala.; brothers, Eugene and Floyd, both of Mount Olive, Harrison of Dixie; sisters, Frances Cogar of Webster Springs, Nellie Horton of Mount Lookout, Virginia Wilburn of New Castle, Del., Gladys Lee of Mountain View, Ark., Edythe Cutlip of Jupiter, Fla., Nadine Poff of Fayetteville, Blanche Massie of Mount Olive, Evangeline Jackson of Toledo, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove.
