Note: Rupe but I believe this is incorrect. Census records for Jacob Akers show only one son born to 2nd marriage to Catherine "Caty" Rupe. This son has been proven to be Lynch Akers.
Census listings for pre-1850 for all other Akers in Montgomery County need to be analyzed to seen if George W. Akers fits in as a son.
George W. Akers married Winney Jewell on October 13, 1846 in Montgomery County, Virginia (bride's father Thomas Jewell, security Noah Richardson). Note: Possible that this record shows his parents?
He appears to have died between 1880 and 1900. Perhaps a death record would show parents. He lived in Alleghany -- need to check other Akers in his immediate area for possible relatives.
