  Publicaiton: Charleston Gazette, p. 6A Published: Thursday, March 22, 2001: Headline: Hollie Mae Grose Hollie Mae Grose, 87, of Clendenin died Mar. 19, 2001, in St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. She was born July 19, 1913, at Lockwood. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Grose, brothers, Hubert, Claud (sic), Harmon and Hermon (sic) Foster, and sister, Mary Foster. Survivors include sons, Clemer Grose of Raleigh, N.C., Hubert Grose, Jesse Grose and Cecil Grose, all of Clendenin; daughters, Barbara Conley and Rebecca Conley, both of Clendenin, Carolyn Whitt of Asheville, N. C.; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 24, at Grose cemetery, Lockwood, Nicholas County, with the Rev. Herbert Vance officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay.
