McVey Final rites for Arthur Lacy MvVey (sic, McVey), 63, Ingram Branch, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dodd-Payne Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with the Rev. B. J. Sowder in charge. Burial will be in Hendricks Cemetery, Ansted. He died Wednesday in a Beckley hospital after a short illness. Born April 11, 1912, at Ansted, he was a son of the late Newton and Florence Arthur McVey. He was a bull dozer operator and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Betty Reese McVey; three sons, Gordon Cooper and Christopher Robin, both at home, and David Arthur of Grundy, Va.; two daughters, Rita Carol and Leona Jane, both at home; one brother, George of Ansted and three sisters, Mrs. Hallie Porter, Mrs. Nellie Butner and Mrs. Edith Harmon, all of Ansted. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
