She was a resident of Lee County, Va. most of her life and was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lillie Glass; and a sister, Maudie Parkey. Surviving are her husband, Ulys Roop, Jonesville, Va.; a son, Ernest Roop, Jonesville, Va.; two daughters, Roberta Scheuering, Brooklyn, Ohio and Bobbie Jean Furr, Spring Hill, Fla.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Glass, Kingsport; and a sister, Mabel Warner, Jonesville, Va. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home, Jonesville, Va. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Walter Waddey officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, Va.
