He was formerly of Alum Creek and a native of Mason County. He was a member of Forks of Coal Baptist Church, Alum Creek. He was retired from New York Central Railway. Surviving: sons, Howard of St. Albans, with whom he made his home, Charles and James, both of Tyler Mountain, William of Hilliard, Ohio, Earl of Smithers; daughter, Opal Potesta of Charleston; sister, Eva Stanley of Shrewsbury; 31 grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, is in charge of arrangements.
