Jenkins, 63, of Marie, Summers County, died April 18, 1987, at the home of his father, John Jenkins, at Alum Creek, after a long illness. He was 14-year resident of Marie and was a retired school principal for Summers County Board of Education. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Marie Ruritan club. Also surviving: wife, Phyllis A. Jenkins; daughters, Mary Ruth Heckman of Detroit; Juanita Jenkins at home; stepdaughters, Joyce Vickers of Warner Robins, Ga., Bonnie Shaver of Summersville; brothers, Charles and Orville, both of Charleston, William of Hilliard, Ohio, Earl of Smithers and Howard of St. Albans; sister, Opal Potesta of Charleston; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren. Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, is in charge of arrangements.
