Notes
a. Note:   Brian Ruppe wrote: "Henry was about 18 years old when the family moved to the southern part of what is now Cherokee County, South Carolina. Sometime around 1820, Henry married Elizabeth Wilson and moved to, then, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. His land was on the border between North and South Carolina. Supposedly, his parents moved into a house located on Henry's property and lived there for a short while. Here Henry lived his life. His brother, Daniel, lived north of him in Rutherford County, North Carolina. In fact, the NC/SC border was the border between their lands."
