  Publication: The Gaffney Ledger Published: Monday, November 10, 2003 Headline: Floyd Jolly - Retired salesman Floyd Jolly, 85, of 1802 Cherokee Ave., died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Brookview HealthCare Center. A native of Cherokee County, he was the widower of Mary Lanier Jolly and son of the late Croff Jolly and the late Marie Littlejohn Jolly. He was a retired salesmen from Gaffney Retread & Recap Company and was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Margie Alexander of Blacksburg; two sons, Jack Jolly of Gaffney and Larry Jolly of Greenville; a sister, Era Mae Earls of Gaffney; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Jolly was preceded in death by a sister, Ollivene Davis. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Charles Phillips. The family is at the home of his son, Jack, 106 Greenbriar Dr., Gaffney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Children's' Home, P.O. Box 1896, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.
