McCraw Mae Ruppe McCraw, 75, of 609 Ashworth School Road died Nov. 8, 2002, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Gaffney, she was the widow of Henry Morris McCraw and a daughter of the late Admiral Dewey and Flossie Thrift Ruppe. She was retired from textiles and was a member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Henry McCraw of Gaffney; a daughter, Sarah Marcell Lewis of Fallston, N.C.; one brother, Belton Ruppe of Gaffney; two sisters, Bonnie Hardin of Gaffney and Jeanette Hood of Fort Mill; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and six step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mike Frazier. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of Henry McCraw, 1112 S. Petty St., Gaffney. Memorials may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center, 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg, S.C., 29303.
