Note:   Publication: Herald-Journal (Spartanburg, SC) Published: August 8, 1997 Page: C2 Headline: Obituaries - Adam Ruppe Mooresboro, N.C. - Adam "Junior" Ruppe, 64, of 835 Old 221A Highway, died Aug. 6, 1997, in Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby, N.C. He was a son of the late Dewey and Flossie Thrift Ruppe. He was retired from Duke Power and was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Helen Huskey Ruppe; a son, Joe Ruppe of Forest City, N.C.; a daughter, Janet Owens of Gaffney; two brothers, Glenn Ruppe of Clifton and Belton Ruppe of Gaffney; three sisters, Mae McCraw of Gaffney, Bonnie Hardin of Lincolnton, N.C., and Jeanette Hood of Charlotte, N.C.; and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at ShufordHatcher Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Charlie Blackwell. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
