Funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday at McLean & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Lawrence McCleskey officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight. Mr. Davis, a native of Cherokee County, S.C., was the son of the late Andrew and Bertie Ruppe Davis. He was was employed with the City of Gastonia's water department for 30 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gastonia and was a member of the church choir. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Maryflo Roberts Davis; sons, Reggie Davis of Greenville, Dan Davis of Atlanta; sisters, Mrs. Nell Turner, Mrs. Montez McKown, both of Gaffney, S.C., Mrs. Marcelle Baucom of Oakboro.; and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Choir, 190 E. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, N.C. 28052.
