a. Note:   Publication: Herald-Journal (Spartanburg, SC) Published: August 17, 2001 Page: C2 Headline: Obituaries - Elizabeth R. Ruppe Gaffney - Elizabeth Rae Ruppe, 81, of 719 W. Smith St. died Aug. 16, 2001, at her home. A native of Gaffney, she was a daughter of the late Jethro and Virlie Quinn Ruppe. She was retired from Timken Co. and was a former nurses aid at Cherokee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of West End Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Annie Myrtis Ruppe of the home. Visitation will be at the home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at West End Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Childs. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to West End Baptist Christian Academy, 400 Overbrook Drive, Gaffney, S.C. 29341. Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
