She was a 60-year resident of Mullens and a member of Mullens Wesleyan Church. She was former owner of Kearse Hat Shop, Charleston, and a former seamstress at Swan Laundromat & Dry Cleaners, Charleston. Surviving: daughters, Doris Kincaid of St. Petersburg, Fla., Alice Mae Houck and Phyllis Meadows, both of Mullens, Anna Belle Fraker of Alexandria, Va.; sons, Bruce Young of Dunbar, William Stone of Mercail, Va.; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mullens Wesleyan Church with Preacher Bruce Young and the Rev. Larry Lafferty officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens, and one hour prior to service at the church. Donations may be made to Mullens Wesleyan Church.
