Ferguson Kincaid died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill. Born at Packs Branch, she was the daughter of the late George Riley and Barbara Mae Woolwine Ferguson. Mrs. Kincaid attended Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Kincaid Sr.; two sons, Henry Kincaid and John A. Kincaid Jr.; a brother, Cabel Ferguson; two sisters, Ollie Kiddy and Ethel Elliott; and grandson, Okie Douglas Underwood Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Underwood of Kilsyth; a sister, Betty Maroney of Kilsyth; five grandchildren, Diana Smith of Shady Spring, Kathy Meadows of Maple Fork, Johny Underwood of Oswald, James Kincaid of Kilsyth and Larry Kincaid of Danville, Va.; nine great-grandchildren, James D. Smith of Meadow Bridge, Melissa Halstead of Bradley, Kristy Jo Waddell of Mill Creek, John Underwood Jr. of Oswald, Brian Smith of Shady Spring, Steven Smith of Kilsyth, Candice Kincaid of Sanford, Fla., Andrea Kincaid of Pax and Adam Kincaid of Kilsyth; and four great-great-grandchildren, John Wesley Waddell of Oswald, Kassie Halstead of Bradley, Kendra Hughes of Pax and Lexi Smith of Shady Spring. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, with Deacon/Evangelist Ralph Castle officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
