THIS IS A THEORY THAT NEEDS TO BE RESEARCHED!!! Lewis's father Elijah WOOD's land was on the waters of the New River. I wonder if the logging accident that caused the death of William A. W. DEMPSEY (husband of Lewis' sister Sarah Ann) may have also killed George A. McGRAW (husband of Mary) and Lewis L. WOOD. This was just an idea that came to me when I saw that William and George's deaths took place about the same time.
