  Publication: The Charleston Gazette Published: January 28, 1988 Headline: Marvin Ezra Burgess Marvin Ezra Burgess, 75, of 1619 Seventh Ave., died Jan. 26, 1988, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness. He was retired from Union Carbide with 32 years' service. He was a member of Charleston Mountain Mission and the adult Bible class. Surviving: wife, Cora Cunningham Burgess; son, Bob of South Charleston; stepdaughters, Mrs. Sue Elkins and Mrs. Barbara Ward, both of Dunbar, Mrs. Jackie Heywood of Ridgeville, Conn.; brother, Ivan of Sissonville; sisters, Eva Burgess, Mrs. Bertha Ellis and Mrs. Orvie Pauley, all of Charleston; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Charleston Mountain Mission, with the Rev. Charles F. Scragg, the Rev. Clarence Edens and the Rev. J. E. "Budd' Legg officiating. Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, Sissonville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, and one hour.....
