  Publication: The Beckley Post-Herald, Beckley, West Virginia Published: Friday, June 25, 1948 Headline: Wood Family Picnics At Babcock East Rainelle, June 24 - Members of the Wood family enjoyed a picnic on Wednesday at Babcock State Park and also celebrated the birthdays of twin brothers, Arthur and Archie Wood. Archie Wood and Mrs. Wood, who live in Cincinnati, and member of their family have been visiting in the Arthur Wood home, also with Edward Wood and other relatives in the East Rainelle vicinity. Also enjoying the picnic was their mother Mrs. O. g. Wood of Clifftop, and Aubrey Wood and family. (in file)

Wood, 86, of this Fayette County community, died yesterday in a Beckley hospital. She was a member of Lansing Baptist Church. Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Agnes Dooley (sic, Duling) of Nitro; sons, Ernest of Denver, Colo., Aubrey and Arthur of Rainelle, Edward of Charleston, the Rev. Bruce Wood of Frankford; stepdaughter, Mrs. Olive Chandler of Huntington; sisters, Mrs. Fannie Morris of South Charleston, Mrs. Daisy Goddard of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ida McGraw of Graydon; brothers, Wesley and Rob Judy of Dayton, Ohio. Service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Lansing Baptist Church, the Rev. H. E. Querry officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery here. The body is at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle.
