Harrah Sr. Oak Hill - Eli Josha Harrah Sr., 85, of Oak Hill died May 22, 1997, in Plateau Medical Center after a short illness. He was a retired miner, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Minden Baptist Church and the UMW. Surviving: son, Eli Jr. of Fremont, Neb.; daughter, Dorothy L. Painter of Oak Hill; brother, Wheeler of McDonough, Ga.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Ray McClung officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
