Nancy Ann Sims Johnson was listed as age 66 in the 1860 census, therefore born abt. 1794. In earlier census years she was in the age group which corresponds with this est. year of birth. In the 1840 census she is listed in the 30 & under 40 yo group which would mean that she was born 1801-1810. I believe this is incorrect as she married in 1814. Her mother Phebe died before 22 January 1794 therefore Nancy would have been born in 1793 or earlier. I do not believe that she is the daughter of James and his second wife Elizabeth Cotton who were married 25 October 1796.
