Note: Publication: The Cabell Record and The Putnam Democrat Published: August 31, 2000 Headline: Mrs. Willie Marie Eden Mrs. Willie Marie Eden, 83, of Barboursville, went home to be with God in the arms of Jesus, Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at Henson Mortuary by Rev. Billie Scott Mick and Rev. David Vickers. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born April 16, 1917, in Pulaski, Va, a daughter of the late Guy Harmon and Edith Blanche Mabe Frost. Mrs. Eden was a homemaker and member of Pea Ridge United Methodist Church and the Martha Circle of the church. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Bias. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Edward H. Eden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Clara Jean and Freddie J. Warden of Barboursville and Judith Marie and Joseph J. Ware of West Hamlin; two sisters, Mary L. Brown of Huntington and Hazel Meadows of Cape Coral Fla.; two nieces, Janet Copley of Proctorville, Ohio, and Joyce McClain of Brandon, Fla.; six grandchildren Teresa Ann Byers of Barboursville, Kristin M. Warden of Barboursville, James E. Ware of Huntington, Susan L. Townsend of Mingo Junction, Ohio, Rebecca J. Ferguson of West Hamlin and Katherine J. Ware of West Hamlin; and nine great-grandchildren Jean Ann Sheppard of Chapmanville, Jeremy Byers of Barboursville, Jared Ferguson of West Hamlin, Lee Ferguson of West Hamlin, Jeff Ferguson of Huntington, Jacob Townsend of Mingo Junction, Ohio, Matthew Townsend of Mingo Junction, Ohio, and Michael and Christine Raines of Huntington. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Doctors Kumar, Mahboob, Bhatia and staff, the nursing staff of 4-South Cabell Huntington Hospital, the staff of the Dialysis Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital and Hospice of Huntington.
