Note: Publication: The Charleston Gazette Published: Friday, December 24, 2004 Headline: Ernest E. Jarrell Ernest E. Jarrell, 83, of Ohley died Dec. 22, 2004. He was born April 10, 1921, at Acme, Kanawha County, son of Jess and Aggie Jarrell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Jarrell; and one brother, Grub Jarrell. He is survived by a brother, Odd Jarrell of Indiana; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dave and Tish Jarrell of Dawes and Jim Jarrell of Ohley; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family sends special thanks to Loretta Williams for the kindness and loving care she has given Mr. Jarrell and the family. Mr. Jarrell was an Army veteran of World War II and was a retired coal miner from Bethlehem Steel. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 27, at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, with the Rev. Janice Williams officiating. Burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
