  Publication: Charleston Gazette Published: Monday October 21, 1957 Page: 8 Headline: Settle, Samuel Jackson Service will be at 2 p.m. today for Mr. Settle, 88, a lifelong resident of Robson, Fayette County, who died Saturday night at his home after a long illness. Rev. Herman Williams will conduct the service in Robson Church of Christ. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Robson. Mr. Settle operated a grocery store at Robson for 52 years. Surviving are his wife, Lena: five daughters, Mrs. Cora L. Davis of Robson, Mrs. Blanche Wiseman of Hallandale, Fla.. Mrs. Oritha Prater of Huntington, Mrs. Evelyn Radford of Stanaford and Mrs. Forest Radford of Kincaid; five sons, Archie and James, both of Robson, S. E. of Falling Rock. Harry of Kanawha Falls and Newman of Hollywood, Fla.; two stepsons, Alonzo Swan of Robson and Robert Swan of Pittsburgh, Pa.: a step-daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Buffington of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Mrs, Rose Stephenson, and a brother, Adam Settle, both of Robson: 28 grandchildren: and 53 greatgrandchildren. The body was taken from Combs Brothers mortuary in Montgomery to the residence.
