Settle Fayetteville - Madeline Lahoma Fitzpatrick Settle, 85, of Fayetteville died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, in Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, after a short illness. She retired from F.W. Woolworth, Oak Hill. Surviving: daughter, Jan Law of Fayetteville; sister, Gwendolyn Painter of Oak Hill; grandson, Vernon Law of Fayetteville. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Frank Castello officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Fayetteville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Settle Fayetteville - Madeline Lahoma Fitzpatrick Settle, 85, of Route 1, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, in an Oak Hill medical center following a short illness. Born June 5, 1914, at Car-lisle, she was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Loretta Mae Saye Fitzpatrick. Mrs. Settle was retired from F.W. Woolworth in Oak Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Leslie Settle; and a sister, Leahtine Haley. Survivors include a daughter, Jan Law of Route 1, Fayetteville; a sister, Gwendolyn Painter of Oak Hill; and a grandson, Vernon Law of Route 1, Fayetteville. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Frank Castello officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Route 1, Fayetteville. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.
