He was a native of Bancroft, Putnam County. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW. He was an employee of American Viscose for 25 years and was retired from Appalachian Power Co. Surviving: wife, Ada Frances James Ingram; daughters, Miss Mildred Juanita Ingram; sons, Andrew J. III of South Charleston, Duane James of Virginia Beach, Va.; sister, Mrs. Doris Graves of Wadsworth, Ohio; two grandchildren. Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, is in charge of arrangements.
