  Publication: The Charleston Gazette Published: Saturday, February 25, 1989 Headline: Robert Otto Reed Kopperston - Robert Otto Reed, 71, of Kopperston, Wyoming County, died Feb. 23, 1989, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a long illness. He was a 37-year resident of Wyoming County. He was a retired miner from Eastern Associated Coal Co. He was a member of UMW. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of VFW. Surviving: sons, James H. of Sissonville, Paul of Holliday, Fla., William of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; daughter, Linda Gibson of Kopperston; brother, Jacob of Sissonville; sister, Phyllis Totten of Channelview, Texas; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Evans Funeral Home, Oceana, with the Rev. Erwin Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
