Publication: Beckley Post Herald Published: Friday Morning, November 4, 1949 Headline: Mrs. Ollie Watts Taken By Death Colcord, Nov. 3 - The body of Mrs. Ocie Ollie Watts, 60, who died last night at her home here, will be removed from Valley Funeral home, Whitesville, to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Phillips (sic, Phelps) at Dorothy at 3 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Church of God at Lawson and burial will be in the Hill Cemetery, Lawson, Rev. Charles Huffman of Lawson, will officiate for services. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Ingram (sic, both deceased); four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Phillips (sic, Phelps) of Dorothy, Mrs. Mary Summers of Edwight, Mrs. Susie Martin of Montcoal, and Ruth Taylor of Colcord; two sons, Homer Watts of Charleston and Cecil Watts of Edwight; one brother, Tom Holstein of Pettus; and two half-brothers, Julian Walk of Colcord and Joe Walk of Lawson. Death came at 9 p.m. Wednesday night for the late Mrs. Watts, who was preceded in death by her husband two years ago.
