McVey, 70, of Ansted died at her home Saturday. She was a member of the Ansted Baptist Church. Born at Ansted, April 20, 1894, she was the daughter of the late Talbert Vaught and Etta Mae Johnson Hendricks. Survivors include her husband, George; a son, Richard Hayden of Baltimore, Md.; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene Pike and Mrs. James W. Hall, both of Ansted, Mrs. Kathleen Rakin of Charleston and Mrs. Gale V. Smith of Parkersburg; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Holmes of Charleston and Mrs. Mayme Miller of Saint Albans. The funeral will be conducted at the Ansted Baptist Chruch at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Guy Vaughan in charge. Burial will be in Westlake Cemetery at Ansted. The body will remain at Thomas Funeral Home in Ansted where friends may call today. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral.
