Publication: Citizen-Times Published: June 17, 2007 Headline: Waldo Stanley Holley Weaverville – Waldo Stanley Holley, 82, of Weaverville, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at John F. Keever Solace Center. Mr. Holley was born May 10, 1925, in McCracken Co., Ky., to the late Clarence Joseph and Beatrice Lake Jeffords Holley. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He attended Barnardsville Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Madge Henley Holley; daughter, Rowena Winn Holley, of Columbus; son, Stanley Kevin Holley, of Savannah, Ga.; brother, Ronald Holley, of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Chastina Rowlings, and Bill and Enid Osbourn; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Brianna and Brendon Osbourn. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with the Revs. Jim Hooper and Steve Ackerman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, Ky. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Bldg. 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
