David Caves and Rev. ted Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Workman died Friday night in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born Feb. 10, 1914 at Colcord, he was a son of the late Charlei and Flora Malcolm Workman. Workman was a disabled coal miner, a member of the United Mine Workers of America, and attended Clear FOrk Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Stump Workman; a son, Billy Joe of Bradley; four daughters, Mrs. Jane Ann Prather of Lanark, Mrs. Helen Phillips of Salem, Va., Mrs. Carol Stover of Artie, and Mrs., Gypsy Kier of Booneton, N.J.; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Brown of Elkview; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
