Born Dec. 3, 1953, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Morris and Irene Britton Griswold. On Oct. 22, 1976, she married Jeffrey Creen in Fort Madison. Mrs. Creen was the assistant manager at Fort Madison Fast Break. She was a graduate of Aquinas High School in Fort Madison. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Madison. She enjoyed playing bingo and casinos. She loved animals and volunteered her time to serve meals at the Lulac Club. Survivors include her husband; one son, James Creen of Fort Madison; one brother, Michael "Mic" Griswold of Burlington; one sister, Carol Griswold-Salli of Schenectady, N.Y.; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Monday at Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Creen will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Troy Richmond as celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fort Madison. A memorial has been established for PAWS.
