Besides Mr. Rupe, the children who survive her are Mrs. Wm. Baol, Hawarden, John Kamp of Akron, Richard Kamp of Hawarden, Mrs. Bertram Howard of Ireton, and Sophia Kamp and Jane Rupe of Gretna, Neb. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. H. J. Heeren of LeMars, and Mrs. R. D. Luschen and John Kline of Chatsworth.
Publication: The Hawarden Independent (Iowa) Published: April 10, 1919 Headline: Death of Sophia Kamp Miss Sophia Kamp died on Wednesday of last week at the home of her stepfather, Albert Rupe, near Gretna, Neb. after an illness of a few weeks from influenza. Her mother passed away on March 17?th from the same dread malady and was buried here a little more than a week ago. The daughter's remains were brought here for interment beside her mother. Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. M. McIntosh. Sophia Kamp was born near Hawarden April 10, 1904, so at the time of her death lacked a week and one day of being fifteen years of age. For the past few years she has resided with her mother at Gretna, Neb. Her father, Chris Kamp, passed away in this city a number of years ago. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Buol of Hawarden and Mrs. Bertram Howard of Ireton; two brothers, Richard Kamp of Hawarden and John Kamp of Akron; and one half sister, Jane Rupe of Gretna, Neb. The sincere sympathy of the entire community goes out to this doubly stricken family.
