Publication: The Raleigh Register Published: Sunday, February 14, 1932 Headline: Mrs. Ella Roop Funeral services were conducted from the home of John Roop on Elison avenue yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock for his mother, Mrs. Ella W. Roop, 77, who died Friday afternoon of the infirmities of advanced age. Dr. Ritchie Ware, pastor of the Christian church officiated, and burial with Foster undertakers in charge, was in Wildwood cemetery. Other children surviving are Martin Roop, of Beckley, Edward Roop, who resides in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Myrtle Brown, of Beckley, Mrs. Derisly Treadway, of Sugar Creek, and Mrs. Katie Jenkins, of Beckley. Another son, William Roop, also survives. Brothers living are Cal Aliff and C. C. Aliff, of Beckley, and Thomas Aliff, of Eccles.
