  Publication: Beckley Post-Herald (Beckley, West Virginia) Published: Tuesday Morning, July 23, 1974 Headline: Rites Wednesday For Mary Skaggs Victor - Mrs. Mary Jane Skaggs, 76, of Victor died Monday morning in a Montgomery hospital. Born Aug. 7, 1897, in Fayette County, she was a daughter of the late James and Louise Dempsey Woods. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Sylvester of Orlando, Fla., Randolph of Graydon and Vandall of Ansted; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Willis of Victor and Mrs. Claudia Willis of Grafton. Ohio and 27 grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Antioch Baptist Church at Sugar Creek in Ansted with Rev. Theodore Carte and Rev. Melvin Nottingham in charge. Burial will be in the Skaggs family cemetery at Sugar Creek. Friends may call at the Dodd-Payne Funeral Home in Fayetteville from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today.
