  Publication: Charleston Gazette Published: July 7, 1927 Headline: Beckley News Mrs. John Ayers died Sunday morning at a local hospital after a short illness, and following an operation. She is survived by her husband and one son and four daughters who are: C. L. Ayers, Denver, Colo., Mrs. A. L. Ford of Minden; Mrs. Joe Peters, Eccles, Mrs. C. M. Arbaugh, Providence, and Miss Mamie Ayers, who resides at home. Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday by the Rev. Skelton and Interment made in the cemetery near Harper.
