She was born August 25, 1928 in Haywood, West Virginia the daughter of Bernard and Genevieve (Crayton) Johnson. Mrs. Parsons was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Shelby V.F.W. George Broderick Post #291. She is survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and John Sichko of Shelby; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Jan Burton of Shelby and Terry and Sandy Starkey of Washington Court House, Ohio; 2 step sons, Harold Parsons, Jr. of Indiana and Russell Parsons of Maryland; 3 step daughters, Gladys Mae Lucas of Marion, Ohio, Marsha Meyer of Indiana and Diana Blair of Shelby; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 nephew; several step grandchildren; her step mother Ivory Johnson of Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Parsons on March 13, 1985 and by a brother, Bernard Johnson. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the I.O.O.F.
