  Publication: Moore County News-Press Published: May 6, 2007 Headline: Jane Ophelia Voorhees Graveside services for Jane Ophelia Voorhees, 97, of Dumas, were held Saturday, May 5, 2007, in the Fairview Cemetery in Durham, Okla. Mrs. Voorhees died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in Dumas. Born in Wetumka, Okla., on Oct. 4, 1909, her parents were Aaron Edward Grissom and Melvina White Grissom. She married James Claude Voorhees on Feb. 27, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband; her siblings, Minnie Norris, Lena Willamson, William Grissom, Joseph Grissom, Edward Grissom, Levi Grissom, Coy Grissom, Thelma Grissom and Roy Grissom. The family has suggested memorials be sent to the Durham Baptist Church or the Durham Community Building fund. Survivors are her daughters, Claudette and Ensio Tosolini and Lee and Norm Scoggin; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, and devoted friend, Wavel Clements. Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery in Durham, Okla. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. Jane Ophelia Voorhees, 97, of Dumas returned to her savior on May 2, 2007, in Dumas Memorial Hospital. Her daughters and granddaughter were at her side. She was born Oct. 4, 1909, in Wetumka, Okla., to Aaron Edward Grissom and Melvina White Grissom. She was married to James Claude Voorhees on Feb. 27, 1932. Ophelia was preceded in death by her husband; and her siblings, Minnie Norris, Lena Williamson, William Grissom, Joseph Grissom, Edward Grissom, Levi Grissom, Coy Grissom, Thelma Grissom and Roy Grissom.
