Note: 5. SIR FULK FITZWARIN, of Whittington, &c., son and.heir, born and baptized 2 March 1361/2, at Combe Martin, Devon. On 3 November 1383 the King took his homage and fealty, and he had livery of his father's lands. He married Elizabeth, sister and heir of John COGAN (who died s.p. in 1382, a minor
in the King's ward, and only daughter of Sir William COGAN, of Bampton, Devon, Wigborough, Somerset, &c., by his 2nd wife, Isabel, elder daughter and coheir of Sir Nele LORING, of Chalgrave, Beds. They had livery of her inheritance, 30 November 1388, the Abbot of Gloucester being ordered to take his fealty. He died 8 August 1391, aged 29. His widow's dower was ordered to be assigned, 11 December 1391, that in Devon being assigned to her by the King on the same day. On 12 December following, she had livery of the manor of Bampton, her homage and fealty being respited. She married, 2ndly (pardon
for marrying without royal licence, 11 February 1392/3), as 1st wife, Sir Hugh COURTENAY, of Goodrington and Stancombe, Devon, Hinton and Mudford, Somerset, &c. She, who was aged 8 and more in 1382, died 29 October 1397. He died 5 or 6 March 1424/5. [CP 5:738-9]
